What Yamaha specifies for the 2025 Aerox

Yamaha Motor Thailand’s current 2025 specification page lists:

• 155 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder SOHC four-valve engine with automatic V-belt transmission;
• 710 × 1,980 × 1,170 mm overall dimensions, 790 mm seat height and 145 mm ground clearance;
• 127 kg including engine oil and a full fuel tank;
• 5.5 litre tank and gasohol E10 through E20 compatibility;
• 110/80-14 front and 140/70-14 rear tyres; and
• front disc brake with ABS, rear disc brake, Y-Connect and smart key.

Do not transfer that set to an older Aerox or another trim. Ask for the registration, year, model code and fresh dashboard-and-side photographs, then match them to the Thai Yamaha manual or specification. If the shop supplies another bike, restart the comparison.

Use the seat height and wet mass as test prompts

A 790 mm seat figure cannot predict whether both feet will reach securely because seat width, footwear, rider proportions and suspension condition also matter. Sit centrally in normal shoes, turn the bars fully both ways, check brake reach and mirrors, and move the actual bike backward from a parking position.

The listed 127 kg wet mass is also not a handling guarantee. Add the expected luggage and, if relevant, test passenger seating while stationary. Find the exact manual’s combined load and compartment limits. Do not infer two-up suitability from the seat alone or a sporty appearance.

Check both 14-inch tyres against the 2025 sizes

For an identified 2025 unit, read 110/80-14 at the front and 140/70-14 at the rear. A different marking may indicate a different generation, non-standard fitment or a mismatch requiring explanation. Check cold pressure against the bike label and manual, not a generic online table.

Inspect the full circumference for cuts, plugs, cracking, sidewall damage, uneven wear and tread indicators. The wider rear tyre is not evidence of good condition. Photograph the date code and every defect before the rental begins.

Verify ABS and connected features on the named unit

Yamaha lists front ABS on the 2025 specification, but a dashboard lamp is only part of the check. Observe the normal ignition warning sequence and ask the shop to resolve a lamp that stays on or fails to appear. Do not perform an aggressive road test to prove ABS.

If Y-Connect pairing matters, confirm the exact procedure and the shop’s permission while stationary. Remove your account and pairing data at return. Connected features do not replace a physical inspection, a charged phone is not a navigation guarantee, and interacting with an app while moving is not part of a safe handover.

Follow the E10-to-E20 label, not a guess

The 2025 Thai specification permits gasohol E10 through E20 and lists a 5.5 litre tank. Apply that only after the year match. Photograph the filler label and follow the exact manual plus the contract’s return-fuel rule; the fuel guide explains Thai forecourt labels.

Tie the price and condition record to one Aerox

Ask for a dated quote naming the registration or defining a substitute. Record the rental dates, total mandatory charge, deposit custody and refund method, fuel and distance rules, delivery, late return, cancellation, optional items and damage liability. At handover, run the pickup checklist. Film warning lights, start, tyres, both brakes, steering, suspension, lamps, horn, mirrors, wheels, panels and every mark.
