Two places to build the day around
Khao Laem Ya–Mu Ko Samet National Park headquarters
Use the park headquarters on Hat Mae Ramphueng–Phe Road, Phe, Mueang Rayong, rather than an island or province-wide pin. Tourism Authority of Thailand describes a coastal nature trail starting at the pavilion near the park café and ending at the Khao Laem Ya viewpoint. Confirm the gate, trail and vehicle access for your visit. The article does not establish daily attraction hours or parking terms; its campsite-registration hours are a separate service.
Rayong Botanic Garden
The garden is at Moo 2, Chak Phong, Klaeng, in the Bueng Samnak Yai wetland. Its own page describes wetland walking, cycling and boat activities. Published visitor hours conflict, so confirm your visit and activity times. The service-point map does not establish a visitor-car entrance or parking permission. Current activity availability, equipment and fees are also unconfirmed.
Before adding Rayong Aquarium
A Department of Fisheries notice dated 28 February 2025 announced temporary closure from 27 February until repairs were completed. Our 8 September 2026 check did not establish official reopening confirmation. Keep the aquarium out of the plan until that is resolved; the notice does not establish permanent closure.
A one-stop itinerary to fill in
- Set the rental window. Write down the actual Pattaya collection place and time, the agreed return place and deadline, and whether the operator permits this Rayong trip.

Confirm the trip with the rental provider
Ask for permission for the named Rayong destination and planned roads, together with the mileage allowance, any excess-distance charge and any prior-notice requirement. Check roads and tolls for the chosen destination
Use live navigation close to departure and check official incident, closure and weather notices. The Department of Highways’ Motorway Division publishes motorway service-route information and M7/M9 toll information. Verify the entry, exit, vehicle class and payment method for your actual route; no particular motorway is prescribed by this example.

Fuel and parking to settle on the day
Neither checked destination page establishes visitor-car parking terms. Confirm the authorised parking place, access and any charge with the destination, and read the signs where you stop. A map pin, cycling path or unmarked verge is not parking permission.
Record the vehicle’s fuel requirement and pickup level. Resolve any conflict between the handover instructions, vehicle label and agreement before fuelling. The amount used depends on the car and actual journey; return it at the documented level. See fuel and parking and rental fuel charges.
Leave time for the handover in Pattaya
Work backward from the agreed return place and time, including fuel and the operator’s handover process. At return, record the gauge, odometer, vehicle condition, keys and agreed parking position; obtain a receipt or written acknowledgement where available.
